Animal Feed

Kenana Animal Feed Business Unit started in the season of 2004/05. The mill has been designed to produce two types of ruminant feeds; milking and fattening. The two feeds contain molasses and bagasse – by-products of sugar industry - as major ingredients (about 50% of the mixture). Inclusion of those Sugar industry by-products reduce the cost of production and subsequently avail the final products to the customers at a competitive reasonable price, that comply with the statement ‘’ the feed is nutritionally accepted and economically feasible’’.

Kenana Animal Feed Mill is a fully automated factory with an annual production capacity of 100,000 MT. however since its establishment the mill has never reached the full capacity of production.

It is the intention of Kenana to raise the annual animal feed production capacity to 500,000 MT within the coming years.
